Personal Trainer Frank Fata explains how you should be using both high repetition and low repetition training methods to get the best results.
For many years we’ve looked at higher rep exercise routines to just build endurance and lower rep routines to just build strength and size. The standard wisdom is anything over 20 reps is strictly just for “Endurance” training and endurance training doesn’t increase strength or size. This is not 100% true. Using lighter weights and higher reps will certainly build endurance, but it will also help increase your strength and help build some more size. Of course lower reps will build more size and strength than higher reps but when combined together, you have joined two great forces that may help you develop your body into Super Hero mode.
