High Intensity Interval Training, or HIIT training, as it is commonly known is a great way to combine cardio and strength work into a killer workout that will shred you up! The goal of HIIT training is escalating your heart rate while doing an exercise, or multiple series of exercises, to burn excess calories while working your muscles hard. The kicker is that just before max fatigue sets in a magic “rest” interval appears to rescue you from lactic acid burnout or your lungs jumping out of your chest.
