Here’s another topic I talk about on a daily basis with most of my clients. I wish I had a dollar for every person that told me that they are not eating that much because they don’t want to gain too much weight. Well guess what? If you under-eat, you will gain lots of weight. When you do this it causes your metabolism to slow down. You need calories for everyday activities such as exercise, walking, eating, sleeping, thinking, breathing, blood pumping, etc…etc… the list goes on. If you don’t take in enough calories to survive, your body will store food to protect itself. The body is like a machine and it will not let you burn off what you can’t afford to lose, even during training.
